I was concerned with my child’s latching issues, weight, getting enough milk and possible lip tie. Due to my concerns and being a first-time mom, I found and reached out to Roberta. She came to my house which was great since my baby wouldn’t be out of her accustomed environment. Also, it’s so much better because the first few weeks, you’re always home. There’s no better place to learn in the comfort of your own home.
Roberta was able to help with teaching me how to latch versus others that just latched my child and said “there, did you see that?”. I got peace of mind when she also agreed with my pediatrician’s input saying the small lip tie she has doesn’t seem to be and issue. We were also having to keep a close eye on our baby’s weight, so we were able to rent her scale for one week to check her weight and if she was getting enough milk. Overall a great experience! With Roberta’s help, my daughter and I are both thriving.

Roberta was in instrumental help to me with my newborn babies. My 2nd child was losing weight and we didn’t know why. It tuned out she was tongue tied. Roberta found this very quickly upon our first meeting. With my 3rd child, she had similar weight issues. However, Roberta examined her and she was not tongue tied. She just needed some help with her latch. Thanks to Roberta’s help, I had the tools I needed to successfully breastfeed my babies. I can’t thank her enough for all her help. She is the Best! Thanks to her help and guidance, my babies have flourished.

My over production of milk, breast augmentation, and possibility of my baby being tongue tied almost made me give up. Roberta helped me work through it all… including determining that my baby was not tongue tied and through mastitis. I would have quit nursing without her. The reward I received by sticking to it was immeasurable for me and my baby.

Nursing your baby is something you’re suppose to do, right? No one talks about how difficult it can be. No one in my family struggled to nurse, so they didn’t know how to help when I had difficulty. When out pediatrician suggested I see a lactation consultant for help, I wasn’t sure whet to expect. I’m glad I found Roberta. She was so helpful and supportive. Not just to me but to my husband who wasn’t sure how to help me. It wasn’t and easy start but thanks to Roberta, I was able to nurse our daughter for 14 months. I even produced enough milk to give to my friend who had a baby the same age. When I was ready to have our second baby, I texted Roberta to be on standby. Roberta came over and found our son had a tongue tie which made nursing difficult for him. I’m so thankful to have found Roberta. Without her, I would’ve given up on nursing…I would’ve missed that special time with my babies…I still have her contact info saved just in case I need it again.

In June 2015 I had my first baby. I was determined to breastfeed but didn’t even know where to start. I was the first person in my family to nurse. I started pumping right away thinking I needed to have “tons” of milk. As time went on, my baby would cry and pull away from the breast every time I nursed. She also was having stomach/gas issues and would cry uncontrollably. I contacted my insurance company and they referred a lactation consultant that hardly spent any time with me. She told me to give my baby probiotics and move on. She didn’t listen to my issues and didn’t seem to care what was happening. I knew in my gut something was wrong. I searched online and found Roberta.
Roberta took the time to come to my house (which is extremely nice with a newborn). She talked to me about what was going on and thought about my issues. She determined that I had an oversupply and overactive letdown. She worked with me for 3 months to fix my problem. I hate to admit it, but I texted her at all hours. She was never upset, but instead wanted to help me as a new mom. Without her, I would not have had a successful breastfeeding experience. I went on to breastfeed for 25 months. I couldn’t have done it without her help in those early months. Fast forward to 2018. I had my 2nd baby. Again, I started to have the same issues that I had with my first baby. Roberta was the first person I called and she walked me through the process all over again. Because of her, the beginning of my breastfeeding journey with my second child was much more pleasant. I’m so happy and blessed to have found Roberta. She helped me accomplish something that I have always dreamed of doing.
